ASIS International Activities in Poland

ASIS International in Europe is currently working on the founding of the ASIS International Poland Chapter.

To support this endeavour, Eduard Emde, 2012 ASIS International President, and Godfried Hendriks, ASIS International Senior Regional Vice President Europe, will both attend and speak on two different conferences in Poland that support the initiative.

1. Eduard Emde spoke about developments in the security management profession and about ASIS International at the Sasma/Liquid Nexxus Business Security Conference from 17 until 18 November in Warsaw. The visit to Poland was also used to raise awareness about ASIS, to attract more potential members and create a strong foundation for a Chapter to be established in Poland. New members and existing members from a variety of industries and roles in security expressed their interest and will be available to volunteer in the process and provide a solid foundation and broad representation for a potential Chapter. Over the next months, this will be continued with more meetings on the subject.

2. Godfried Hendriks will speak at the Central-Eastern Europe Fraud and Corruption Conference from 5 until 6 December at the Sofitel Victoria Hotel in Warsaw.

All members and potential members of ASIS International are invited to join and attend this conference.
